Role Description The Academic Partnership Executive (Remote) is a full-time role responsible for identifying, developing, and managing strategic partnerships with academic institutions such as universities, colleges, and training centers. This role involves prospecting and nurturing relationships with key decision-makers, presenting Specular's services and value propositions, and negotiating collaboration agreements that support mutual growth. The Executive will coordinate with internal teams to design joint programs, workshops, internships, and research initiatives that align with institutional needs and Specular's business objectives.

Daily activities include conducting market research on academic ecosystems, preparing proposals and presentations,



managing partnership pipelines, tracking performance metrics, and ensuring high-quality communication and support to partners. The role is remote, requiring effective virtual collaboration, proactive stakeholder engagement, and consistent reporting to leadership on partnership outcomes and opportunities.

Qualifications

- Strong business development, relationship management, and stakeholder engagement skills, ideally within academic or education-focused environments.

- Experience in partnership management, account management, or sales, with the ability to lead negotiations and close collaboration agreements.

- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate complex solutions clearly to diverse academic audiences.

- Solid research, analytical, and planning skills to identify opportunities, assess institutional needs, and develop tailored partnership strategies.

- Comfort with digital tools, CRM platforms, and remote collaboration technologies to manage pipelines, documentation, and virtual meetings.

- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, prioritize multiple initiatives, and meet targets and timelines with minimal supervision.

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Education Management, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications in education or business are an advantage.

- Prior experience working with universities, colleges, training providers, or EdTech organizations is highly beneficial.
