Job Description

We are hiring an experienced Quality Controller for steel fabrication projects in Tamil Nadu. The role involves ensuring product quality through inspections, compliance with welding and fabrication standards, and maintaining accurate quality documentation throughout the production process.

Key Responsibilities
Inspect raw materials, welding activities, and finished fabricated components to ensure compliance with specified standards and client requirements
Perform in-process inspections to monitor production quality and identify deviations at an early stage
Interpret engineering drawings, Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), and inspection criteria
Prepare inspection reports, Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and maintain quality records and documentation
Verify dimensional accuracy using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, vernier calipers, and gauges
Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and fabrication standards throughout the manufacturing process

Salary: 28000 INR Per Month

Requirements




Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
Below 40 years
Minimum 3+years of experience in quality control within a steel or heavy fabrication workplace.
Proven knowledge of welding standards and fabrication codes, including AWS D1.1, ASME Section IX, and ISO 9001.
Robust analytical, written, and verbal communication skills with a focus on accuracy and clarity.
Computer literate with proficiency in MS Office, report generation, and digital quality record systems.

Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in generator maintenance (varies by role level). Hands-on experience with fault diagnostics and testing equipment such as multi meters, insulation testers, and oscilloscopes. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, electrical schematics, and shop drawings. Solid understanding of voltage, amperage, frequency, and power factor calculations. Certified in LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures and committed to workplace safety protocols. ITI certification or diploma in Generator Mechanic, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
