- Process transactions: Operate cash registers or point-of-sale (POS) systems to scan items, calculate totals, and process various payment types, including cash, credit cards, and debit cards.
- Handle payments and receipts: Receive and verify payments, return correct change for cash transactions, and issue receipts to customers.
- Provide customer service: Greet customers, answer their questions, and help them locate products. Address customer complaints or concerns, and handle returns or exchanges according to company policy.

- Maintain the checkout area: Keep the checkout area clean,



organized, and well-stocked.

- Manage cash drawer: Count and balance the cash in the register at the beginning and end of each shift to ensure accuracy.

- Perform other duties: Assist with other store tasks like stocking shelves, arranging displays, or checking inventory as needed.
