Role & responsibilities
Stress :
5 to 10 years experience
Hand calculations
Required
- Static strength of composites (material orientation, Lamination theory, bearing bypass, Corner bending, failure indices)
- Fasteners analysis – tension, shear, shear tension interaction
- Static strength of Metallics – FBD, stress evaluation and Failure modes
- Loads processing in Excel
- Calculations in MS Excel
- Report writing in Word
- Previous experience supporting OEMs
Preferred -
- Excel VBA macro
FEM
Required –
- Knowledge on NASTRAN deck updating (NX Nastran will be used)
- Post processing in PATRAN and *.f06 files
- Knowledge of NASTRAN element types and results extraction
- Results interpretation and knowledge of output
Preferred -
- Pre-processing (FE Modeling) in Simcenter will be an advantage
- FEM check and validation
