Job Role: Gas Safety/Field monitoring (Operation & Maintenance)

Education Qualification: Diploma/B.Tech in any discipline with industrial safety certification

Work Experience: 8-10 years of industrial safety experience

Department: Fuel Management department & Central Utility (Operation & Maintenance)

Roles & responsibilities:

1. Operation & Maintenance Documentation, Revision & updating of SOPs, ESI, HIRA & Process Safety.

2. Documentation (Protocol of gas line charging, SOP’s, ESI etc.). &Ensure; adherence to gas safety protocols throughout the commissioning process.

3. Deliver comprehensive gas safety training and provided expert assistance during plant commissioning, promoting a safety-first culture.

4. Conduct routine site inspections in gas-prone areas, proactively identifying and mitigating potential gas-related risks.

5. Prepare comprehensive incident reports with detailed findings, corrective actions, and preventive measures, contributing to continuous safety improvement.

6. Manage the distribution and maintained accurate records of gas safety equipment, ensuring availability and accountability.

7. Manage the maintenance of all gas safety equipment, including Hydrostatic Pressure Testing (HPT)



of SCBA cylinders and servicing of BA compressors, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.

8. Conduct internal & external audits to verify compliance with IMS standards (ISO 45001), identifying areas for improvement, promoting a culture of safety. and compliance reports, supporting audit readiness.

9. Responsible for Supervision of Operation & Maintenance of IPPL structure, Utility equipment, Hydro-testing, Pneumatic Testing & Various types of underground & above ground piping with Commissioning. Like-Steam, Oxygen, BFG, BOFG and CO gas, Nitrogen, Propane, and Water (carbon steel, stainless steel and Mild steel).

10. Supervision and Handling of Various type of Shutdown Jobs/Looking maintenance and break down activities of utility pipelines (Mix Gas, BF, CO & BOF Gases, Steam, Water, Propane, NG & Nitrogen).

11. Online Gas leakage arresting by follow all safety standards without hampering the user departments

12. Responsibilities of Gas pipeline and structure inspection.

13. Making daily, weekly, monthly maintenance schedule, check list & Break downs analysis.

14. Making critical & consumable spare planning& Knowledge of SAP.

15. Managing Manpower for the scheduled job.
