The external reporting finance team is involved in producing the financial statements based on the statutory rules and as per the local GAAP/ IFRS requirements every quarter. The team is also involved in the preparation of the various reports and forms as prescribed by the Insurance regulatory authorities of various countries where AXA XL writes its insurance business on a quarterly and annual basis. The team produces various reports for UK entities along with Lloyd's reporting. This requires an in-depth understanding of Statutory reporting requirements and the application of the same into the reports/schedules prepared for respective Regulators.

What will your essential responsibilities include
Candidate Profile

- Good verbal and written communication skills.

- Very good analytical skills and attention to detail.

- Proactive, with the ability to work under limited supervision.

- Good interpersonal skills and willingness to work within a team.

- Willing to work flexible hours as necessary.

Qualifications, Education, and/or Experience:
- CA/CPA with a minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience.

- Experience in Financial Reporting is required.

- MBA Finance or CA Inter with 5+ years' reporting experience can be considered

- Robust accounting knowledge.

- Knowledge of IFRS/USGAAP is required.

- Insurance/reinsurance experience is preferable.

- Knowledge of PeopleSoft or similar large general ledger systems.

- Good MS Excel and Access skills.

We're looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:

- Preparation for quarterly and yearly regulatory reporting for UK Legal entity.

- Responsible for supporting statutory audit requirements and related queries.

- Preparation of Source system to GL and technical balance sheet reconciliations such as Receivable/Payable, Losses, Unearned premium, and Deferred acquisition cost.

- Booking of manual adjustment to incorporate legal entity, operating units, and other chart field level restructuring/changes in General Ledger.





- Compile data and perform financial analysis to make sure data completeness and accuracy in P&L; and Balance Sheet between underwriting and financial accounting system.

- Booking of manual adjustment to correct ceding percentage changes, Ceded Re treaty accrual postings on a quarterly basis in General Ledger.

- Collaboration within/outside the team (including the BU Controllers/Business Partners) for the timely cleanup of the open reconciling items.

- Oversee expense management and good oversight of accrual, prepayment, recharge, and intercompanybalances.

- Assist the Controllership team with quarter-end close activities, manage and work on ad-hoc requests Prepare other regulatory and ad-hoc reports and disclosures for management as identified.
