One position is available for a Lead Verification Engineer atNoida HVDC CoE. Purpose of the job.Asa Lead Validation Engineer, you will be responsible for thedelivery of the of verification and validation team activity ontime / as per Project Scheduled through proper coordination betweenProject and V&V; team.JobDescriptionRolesandResponsibilitiesPrepareand maintained Validation & Verification team’s activity plansas per the Project scheduled. Design andcreate FST and FAT test cases against softwarerequirements.Properly manage Validation teamshift plan.Leading the FAT withclint.Gap analysis between standard / designrequirement and customer technicalrequirements.Understand the key milestones inthe project plan, ensure that the plan correctly provisions for therequired testing activities.Clearlycommunicate details of failures to the respective engineeringfunctions.Knowledge of control systemrequirements for the RTDS LAB setup including AC DC interfacerequirement, Plant Emulator Interface requirement and RSCAD Powersystem network conversion, modelling andverification.Problem solving skills to supporttest issues especially lab setup and debuggingskills.Strong sense of urgency and ability toidentify and manage technical risks.SupportNew Product Introduction (NPI)



and Product care teams to developexisting and new products and tools.Knowledgeof Dynamic performance studies including Equivalent Network usingboth offline and online simulationtools.Assist Validation Engineers to carry outexecution of tests and provide clear reporting ofresults.Review/analyse the test resultsthereby reporting the status.Provide supportto Commissioning Engineers during Dynamic commissioning at Site. Support continual improvement, raisingthe effectiveness and efficiency of the team through theintroduction of tools, methods and process improvements andcoordinating with the Continuous ImprovementleadersSupport a standard product methodologymindset, seek opportunities to re-use solutions, improve qualityand reliability whilst reducing the delivery timeline andassociatedcosts.Qualifications/ EssentialRequirementsEngineeringdegree or equivalent including power systems and power electronicssubjects or proven equivalent knowledge and experience in HVDCbusiness. Successfully completed vocational training with ideallyat least 7+ years of proven experience in the position ofVerification Engineer in High Voltage field, preferably experienceas a Control & Protection design Engineer. Valuable knowledge ofoverall 400kV substation, HVDC system (LCC/VSC/SVC) includingcontrol and protection system is essential. Knowledge of OverallHVDC System Operational behaviour and impact on equipment to makedecisions when leading system testing at site is essential. Strongcommunication skills with a fluency in English language. Knowledgeof Microsoft Office Word and Excel is required, and Microsoftproject would be beneficial. Knowledge of Fault Recorder (TFR)systems is essential. Experienced working alongside GE would beadvantageous although non-critical. Must be flexible with workinghours and willing to travel to support projects globally.Experience on MATCAD, PSCAD, PSS/E and MATLAB SIMULINK, EMTP-RV,Digsilent etc will added advantage. Knowledge of applicableelectrical standards such as IEC 61850, IEC 62351, IEC 12207, IEEE15288, IEC 25010, IEC 27032, NERC/CIP Experienced in technicalleadership. Must be able and willing to work both in Office and onsites worldwide.DesiredCharacteristicsStrong oral and written communication skills. Demonstratedability to analyze and resolve problems.
