I3T is seeking an experienced and innovation-driven translational research scientist specialising in cell therapy to lead and contribute to cutting-edge translational and regenerative medicine programmes. The candidate should possess strong expertise in stem cell biology, cellular therapeutics, immunomodulation, tissue engineering, and translational biology with the capability to convert scientific discoveries into clinically relevant applications.

responsibilities

Lead translational research programs in gene therapy and molecular therapeutics
• Develop and optimize gene delivery systems, including viral and non-viral platforms
• Work on genome engineering technologies including CRISPR/Cas systems, RNA therapeutics, and gene editing tools
• Design translational studies for therapeutic target identification and validation
• Conduct molecular cloning, vector design, sequencing, and functional genomics studies
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary research teams including clinicians, immunologists, and computational biologists
• Participate in innovation development, IP generation, patents, scientific publications, and translational commercialization initiatives
• Maintain regulatory, biosafety, and ethical compliance standards
• Guide junior scientists, research fellows, and technical personnel





Lead translational research projects in cell therapy and regenerative medicine
• Design and execute experiments involving stem cells, MSCs, immune cells, and cell-based therapeutics
• Develop novel therapeutic strategies for degenerative, inflammatory, metabolic, oncological, or infectious diseases
• Work on isolation, expansion, characterization, and differentiation of stem cells
• Develop SOPs and protocols for preclinical translational studies
• Collaborate with clinicians, molecular biologists, immunologists, and bioinformaticians
• Participate in grant writing, patent filing, publication development, and technology transfer activities
• Mentor junior researchers, fellows, and technical staff
• Maintain compliance with GLP, biosafety, ethical, and regulatory guidelines
• Contribute toward translational product development and innovation pipelines

Preferred candidate profile

PhD in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Regenerative Medicine, Immunology, Life Sciences, Genetics, Genomics, Biomedical Sciences or related discipline
• Minimum 5 to10 years of relevant research experience in academia, biotech, translational laboratories, or pharmaceutical sectors
• Robust expertise in stem cell culture, flow cytometry, molecular assays, cellular characterization, and translational therapeutics
• Experience with mammalian cell culture systems and preclinical research models
• Proven publication record in reputed peer-reviewed journals
• Experience in translational research, innovation development, or patents will be highly preferred
