Job Summary
The Assistant Manager – HR (Core Compliance) will be responsible for ensuring statutory and HR compliance across factory and corporate operations. The role includes labour law compliance, payroll compliance, HR operations, and HR Generalist responsibilities while ensuring adherence to company policies and applicable Central and Uttar Pradesh labour laws.
Key Responsibilities
HR Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all applicable Central and Uttar Pradesh labour laws.
- Manage statutory compliances including EPF, ESIC, Bonus, Gratuity, Minimum Wages, Contract Labour, and other applicable labour legislations.
- Maintain statutory registers, records, licences, notices, and ensure timely filing of statutory returns.
- Coordinate statutory inspections, labour audits, and compliance reviews.
- Liaise with Labour Department, EPFO, ESIC, Factory Inspectorate, and other statutory authorities.
- Track changes in labour laws and ensure timely implementation.
Payroll Compliance
- Review payroll inputs, including attendance, leave, overtime, and employee master data.
- Ensure statutory deductions and compliance related to payroll.
- Coordinate with payroll and finance teams for timely and accurate salary processing.
- Ensure compliance with payroll-related statutory requirements.
HR Generalist
- Manage employee lifecycle activities, including onboarding, confirmation, transfers, promotions, and separation.
- Maintain employee records and HR documentation.
- Support performance management, employee engagement, and implementation of HR policies.
- Handle employee queries and grievances in line with company policies.
- Maintain HRMS data and prepare HR MIS reports.
Factory & Contractor Compliance
- Monitor contractor compliance, including labour licences, statutory remittances, wage records, and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with applicable factory regulations and support internal, external, statutory, and customer audits.
Qualifications
- MBA (HR), PGDM (HR), or MSW.
- Diploma in Labour Laws/Industrial Relations will be an added advantage.
Experience
- Assistant Manager: 5–8 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in manufacturing or industrial organizations is preferred.
Required Skills
- Solid knowledge of Central and Uttar Pradesh labour laws.
- Expertise in statutory compliance and payroll compliance.
- Experience in HR Generalist functions.
- Knowledge of HRMS/ERP systems and advanced MS Excel.
- Excellent communication, documentation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
