Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Noida invites applications for Principal Senior Technical Officer

Principal Senior Technical Officer (1 Post)-Overall in-charge of Instrumentation.

Job Profile

- Leadership and Supervision: Provide technical leadership and supervision to the instrumentation team, ensuring effective maintenance, repair, and operation of instruments related to Life science, Basic science and Engineering research.

- Instrument Management: Oversee the procurement, installation, calibration, and maintenance of instruments for common Facility including reviewing and renewing CMCs, AMCs ensuring they are in good working condition.

- Technical Support: Helping research groups in preparing specification and procurement processes and training users for the operation of instruments and preparing SOP.

- Upgrades Identify : opportunities for instrument upgrades and modernization, and implement plans to ensure the instrumentation facility remains state-of-the-art

- Training and Development: Develop and implement training programs for instrumentation staff, ensuring they stay up to date with the latest technologies and techniques.

- Workshops: Inviting application specialists from companies for Conducting workshops for faculty





- Maintaining the inventory of Spares related to Equipment.

- Collaboration: Coordination with Deans and Hods for Lab renovation/ Modifications and installation of current equipment.

- Manage the instrumentation team, including recruitment, performance evaluation, and professional development.

- Manage the instrumentation budget, allocating resources effectively to ensure the smooth operation of instruments and the team.

Qualifications

1. Ph.D. in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or Biology)

2. At least 5-7 years of experience in instrument maintenance, procurement, and repair

3. Proven track record of managing instrument maintenance and procurement processes

4. Strong leadership and communication skills

5. Familiarity with university policies and procedures
