We are seeking a detail -oriented and experienced Medical Record Audit Specialist to review, analyze, and ensure the accuracy and compliance of medical records. The candidate will be responsible for auditing patient records to maintain quality standards and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and audit patient medical records for accuracy and completeness
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and documentation standards
- Identify documentation gaps and provide corrective recommendations
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information
- Prepare audit reports and share findings with management
- Coordinate with medical staff for documentation improvements
- Ensure adherence to hospital policies and legal guidelines
Required Skills:
- Robust knowledge of medical terminology
- Understanding of healthcare documentation standards
- Knowledge of ICD/CPT coding (preferred)
- Attention to detail and analytical skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems
Eligibility Criteria:
- Graduate in Healthcare / Nursing / Life Sciences / Medical field
- Certification in Medical Coding / Healthcare Quality (preferred)
- 2+ years of experience in Medical Record Auditing
