We are looking for a highly driven and detail-oriented Assistant Manager – Finance to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be a qualified Chartered Accountant with 5 to 7 years of post-qualification experience in core finance functions, preferably in a fast-paced, dynamic setting. This role will be instrumental in managing the financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, and audit processes to ensure robust financial governance and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting & Compliance:
Prepare, analyze, and present accurate financial statements (P&L;, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) in accordance with applicable accounting standards (Ind AS/IFRS). Ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closures are timely and accurate.
- Statutory and Internal Audit:
Coordinate with statutory and internal auditors, ensuring all audit requirements are met. Drive the preparation of audit schedules, support documentation, and responses to queries.
- Budgeting & Forecasting:
Assist in the preparation and management of annual budgets and periodic forecasts. Analyze variances between actuals and budgets to provide actionable insights to the management.
- Taxation & Regulatory Compliance:
Manage direct and indirect tax compliance including GST, TDS, and Income Tax filings. Liaise with external consultants for assessments, scrutiny, and other regulatory matters.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable Oversight:
Review vendor payments,
customer receivables, and reconciliation processes to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with internal controls.
- MIS & Financial Analysis:
Deliver management reports, dashboards, and financial KPIs to support strategic decisions. Analyze trends and provide recommendations to improve financial performance.
- Process Improvements:
Identify opportunities to automate, streamline, and improve financial processes and controls. Ensure implementation of best practices in financial operations.
- Stakeholder Management:
Work closely with cross-functional teams including operations, procurement, HR, and legal for finance-related matters. Support the leadership team with financial insights and data-driven recommendations.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS), Companies Act, and tax laws.
- Proven experience in financial reporting, audits, taxation, and MIS in mid to large-scale organizations.
- Proficiency in financial tools such as MS Excel, Tally, SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Background:
- Experience working with Big 4 or reputed audit firms will be an added advantage.
- Exposure to industry-specific finance processes in sectors like manufacturing, services, or retail is desirable.
