Purpose/Objective
This role is responsible for shaping the company's future by leading the development and execution of long-range strategic plans. The role architects capital allocation strategies, evaluates portfolio performance including divestment decisions, and incubates new business initiatives. By analyzing market trends, assessing risks, evaluating growth opportunities, and aligning capital deployment with long-term priorities, this role ensures that the company stays ahead of industry changes and maintains a competitive edge.
Key Responsibilities of Role
Performance Monitoring & Strategic Governance: Lead monitoring and tracking of progress against annual strategic plans. Drive quarterly performance reviews and prepare structured management notes. Analyze KPIs, MPDs, and MIS data across business units and propose actionable interventions. Supervise performance governance of JVs and Subsidiary/SPVs. Provide structured diagnostic inputs to improve JV operational and financial performance. Support preparation of CEO and board review materials with analytical rigor. Joint Ventures & Subsidiary Oversight: Manage ongoing monitoring frameworks for JVs and subsidiaries. Conduct periodic performance diagnostics and highlight red flags. Support incubation initiatives by coordinating POC tracking and transition planning. Collaborate with JV management teams to implement agreed strategic interventions. Strategic Plan Execution Support: Execute long-term strategic plans through structured operational processes. Conduct feasibility tests and pilot programs. Develop business and financial models for new business streams. Support geographic expansion strategies.
Capital & Budget Support Support development of annual budgets aligned with strategic objectives. Analyze budget performance and recommend corrective measures. Assist in evaluating investment proposals and business cases for management review. Regulatory & Advocacy Support Support regulatory impact analysis from a business lens. Contribute to preparation of white papers and advocacy documents. Participate in industry forums as required. People and Team Engagement: Lead, inspire, and mentor the team to foster a high-performance culture. Drive and enhance employee engagement across the team to sustain a positive workplace culture. Foster a conducive environment for high employee retention by ensuring team satisfaction and career development. Supervise and support the team to achieve operational goals.

Qualifications and Experience
Education Qualification: Master's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field with focus on strategic management or planning. Preferably under-graduate in Engineering, Science, or Technology related fields. Work Experience: 12-15 years of strategic planning or business analysis experience, with a track record of successful project implementation. Preferred Industry: Energy sector experience, specifically in oil & gas, power, energy, mining, or related industries with involvement in technological innovation and infrastructure development
