Industrial Relations Manager FMCG – 12+ Years – Mumbai

We are looking for an experienced Industrial Relations Manager to lead end-to-end industrial relations, labour compliance, and workforce management across manufacturing operations. This role is ideal for professionals with strong expertise in union management, Mathadi workforce handling, statutory compliance, and maintaining harmonious employee relations in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

1. Manage end-to-end industrial relations activities, including labour union engagement, grievance handling, and maintaining harmonious employee relations across plant operations.
2. Handle Mathadi workforce, contractor labour, and statutory compliance while ensuring smooth coordination with labour authorities and regulatory bodies.
3. Drive workforce planning, labour deployment, collective bargaining, disciplinary actions, and dispute resolution to ensure uninterrupted business operations.
4. Ensure compliance with labour laws, statutory regulations, audit requirements, and maintain accurate documentation related to industrial relations activities.
5. Partner with cross-functional teams including HR, Operations, Legal, and Administration to enhance workforce productivity, operational efficiency, and employee engagement.

Requirements

1. MBA, MSW, PGDM in HR, Personnel Management, Labour Welfare, or a related discipline with 12+ years of Industrial Relations experience.
2. Strong experience in handling Mathadi workers, labour unions, and contractor workforce management within manufacturing environments.
3. Sound knowledge of labour laws, statutory compliances, industrial relations practices, and plant HR operations.
4. Proven expertise in collective bargaining, conflict resolution, grievance management,



and stakeholder engagement.
5. Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to work effectively in a rapid-paced manufacturing environment.
