Job Description: A Purchase and Banking Executive in the steel manufacturing industry drives the end-to-end procurement of raw materials (iron ore, coal, scrap) and machinery, while managing financial transactions. They negotiate supplier contracts, process payments, maintain vendor relationships, and ensure an uninterrupted, cost-effective supply chain for plant operations. Procurement & Sourcing

- Strategic Purchasing: Source raw materials, industrial consumables, and spare parts required for continuous steel manufacturing.
- Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors to secure the best prices and delivery terms.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms to stay within budget constraints.
- Inventory & POs: Create Purchase Orders (POs) in internal ERP systems, monitor stock levels, and track shipments to avoid production delays.

Banking & Commercial Operations

- Payment Processing: Process vendor invoices, reconcile accounts, and manage disbursement of payments.
- Trade Finance: Handle banking documentation,



such as Letters of Credit (LCs), Bank Guarantees (BGs), and import-export documentation.
- Financial Compliance: Ensure compliance with statutory regulations (e.g., GST, TDS) and maintain accurate records of financial transactions.
- MIS Reporting: Prepare financial and procurement reports for cost analyses and budget management.

Key Skills Required
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with steel raw materials (billets, TMT, sponge iron, alloys) and fabrication consumables.
- Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for purchase and payables.
- Financial Acumen: Solid understanding of banking procedures, LCs, and commercial terms.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze market trends, evaluate supplier performance, and optimize cost-efficiency.
