Job Description: A Foundry Shift Incharge is responsible for overseeing all foundry operations, including melting, molding, and pouring, during a specific shift to ensure safety, quality, and productivity. Key duties include managing shop floor staff, supervising process parameters, conducting basic quality tests, coordinating with maintenance, and documenting all shift activities. Core responsibilities

- Production supervision: Oversee and manage daily foundry activities, such as melting, molding, and pouring, to meet production targets.
- Process monitoring and control: Monitor and control melting furnace operations, ensuring adherence to metallurgical specifications and raw material quality. Supervise the molding and pouring process to ensure correct metal temperatures and timely production.
- Quality assurance: Conduct basic metallurgical tests, support the Quality Control team to ensure compliance with chemical and mechanical properties, and help analyze rejections and support root cause analysis.
- Safety and housekeeping: Manage shopfloor workers, ensuring they follow safety protocols and maintain 5S and housekeeping standards.
- Staff management:



Supervise, train, and motivate shopfloor staff to enhance productivity.
- Maintenance coordination: Coordinate with the maintenance department to minimize equipment downtime and ensure equipment is properly maintained and operational.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate daily production and melting logs, fill out process sheets, and complete other required records.
- Continuous improvement: Participate in initiatives such as Kaizen, cost control, and process optimization.

Qualifications
- Experience: Proven experience in a foundry environment is essential, with a strong emphasis on melting and molding processes.
- Education: A degree or diploma in metallurgy or a related field is often preferred.
- Skills: Robust leadership, problem-solving, communication, and time management skills are crucial. Familiarity with production processes, safety regulations, and quality control is required.
