Job Description: An Electrical Shift Incharge in a power plant manages all electrical operations during their shift, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient power generation/supply by supervising technicians, troubleshooting faults, performing maintenance, coordinating with other departments, enforcing safety rules (like work permits for HT/LT systems), and handling shift handovers, requiring solid electrical knowledge, leadership, and problem-solving skills Key Responsibilities:

- Operational Oversight: Monitor and control electrical equipment, ensuring smooth plant operation and consistent power supply.
- Personnel Management: Lead, direct, and coordinate electrical technicians and operators during the shift.
- Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Respond to emergencies, diagnose faults, perform preventive/breakdown maintenance, and manage spare parts.
- Safety & Compliance: Implement safety protocols, conduct safety meetings, issue work permits, and manage high/medium/low voltage switching.
- Reporting & Documentation:



Maintain detailed logs, prepare shift reports, and track energy usage.
- Shift Handover: Effectively transfer critical information to the next shift.

Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Experience: Several years in heavy industry, power plants, or electrical maintenance.
- Technical Skills: HT/LT systems, switchgear, transformers, PLCs, SCADA, troubleshooting.
- Soft Skills: Leadership, decision-making, problem-solving, communication.

Work Environment:
- Requires working in 24/7 rotating shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays).
- Must be available for on-call duties and emergencies, potentially working extended hours.
