- Maintenance and Repair: They perform maintenance and repair work on mechanical systems and equipment, diagnosing issues and replacing faulty parts.
- Reading and Interpreting Drawings: Fitters must be able to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to understand project requirements.
- Tooling and Equipment: They utilize hand and power tools, welding equipment, and other specialized tools for fitting, cutting, shaping, and assembling materials.
