Role Summary

A critical leadership role responsible for independent valuation assessment of assets and liabilities within Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) and Treasury, ensuring financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and robust valuation methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct independent month-end valuation of assets and liabilities

• Calculate and report Additional Valuation Adjustments (AVAs)

• Support Valuation Control across Markets, Treasury, and Principal Finance

• Govern monthly valuation reporting and benchmark committees

• Review and challenge market data and pricing models

Strategic Focus Areas

• Manage ~$426B balance sheet valuation processes

• Implement independent pricing methodologies

• Ensure fair value marking of all trades

• Identify and address complex derivative pricing issues

Leadership Responsibilities

• Lead, inspire, and develop valuation control teams

• Establish appropriate culture and skilled standards

• Ensure team skill development and effective risk mitigation
