Merchandiser role is a full time, in office position based in New Delhi, focused on high fashion apparel. The role involves planning and executing seasonal merchandise assortments, analyzing sales and inventory data, and aligning product range with brand positioning and market trends. The Sr.

Apparel

Merchandiser will coordinate closely with design, production, and retail teams to ensure timely product development, pricing, and launches that meet margin and volume targets. Daily responsibilities include vendor communication, sample management, negotiation on cost and delivery timelines, and monitoring store performance to optimize stock levels. The role also includes competitor analysis, identifying opportunities for new categories or styles, and presenting merchandising plans and performance reports to management.

Qualifications

Solid Communication skills for cross-functional collaboration, vendor interaction,



and presenting merchandising strategies.

Customer Service and Retail experience to understand shopper behavior, store operations, and in-store product performance.

Sales expertise to drive sell-through, manage assortment based on performance, and support revenue and margin goals.

Marketing exposure to align merchandise with brand campaigns, visual merchandising, and promotional activities.

Proven experience in apparel merchandising, preferably in high fashion or premium brands.

Ability to analyze data, forecast demand, and make decisions based on market and sales insights.

Strong negotiation and vendor management skills, with experience in sourcing and costing.

Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Fashion Design, Business, or a related field is preferred.

Proficiency in MS Excel and merchandising or ERP tools for reporting and planning.

Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple collections, and meet tight deadlines.
