Role Description

This is a full-time, in office Marriage and Divorce Counselor role based in Connaught Place. The counselor will provide client-centered guidance to individuals and couples dealing with marital conflict, separation, and divorce, including pre-divorce counseling, emotional support, and post-divorce adjustment assistance. Daily responsibilities include conducting intake interviews, assessing relationship and family dynamics, facilitating counseling sessions, and maintaining accurate, confidential case notes.

The role involves close coordination with Advocate Atul Sharma and the legal team to help clients understand the emotional implications of legal decisions, prepare for court proceedings, and navigate co-parenting and family transitions. The counselor will also participate in outreach activities, contribute to educational materials for clients, and support a trauma-informed, non-judgmental practice environment. Qualifications

Relevant academic background in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field; advanced certification in marriage and family counseling is an advantage.

Robust counseling and communication skills,



including active listening, empathy, conflict resolution, and the ability to build trust with clients from diverse backgrounds.

Experience addressing marital issues such as relationship breakdown, domestic conflict, separation, co-parenting challenges, and adjustment to divorce.

Ability to work collaboratively with legal professionals, understand basic legal processes in family law, and translate complex information into supportive, accessible guidance.

Demonstrated capacity to maintain skilled boundaries, handle sensitive information with discretion, and adhere to ethical standards and confidentiality requirements.

Comfort working in high-stress situations and with underprivileged or vulnerable populations, using a trauma-informed and non-discriminatory approach.

Strong organizational skills, including timely documentation, case management, and the ability to manage multiple counseling cases simultaneously.

Fluency in English and Hindi; additional regional languages are an asset.
