Job Overview The Senior Property Accountant is responsible for managing the financial operations of a portfolio of properties. On a daily basis, this role involves preparing and analyzing financial statements, maintaining accurate general ledgers, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. The individual will also handle budgeting and forecasting, oversee accounts payable and receivable, and collaborate with property managers to optimize financial performance. The primary objective is to ensure the financial integrity and profitability of the properties under management, providing accurate and timely financial information to support strategic decision-making.

Duties & Responsibilities
Prepare and analyze financial statements for multiple properties.
Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
Conduct variance analysis and report findings.
Coordinate with property managers for financial data accuracy.
Prepare and file tax returns and other regulatory documents.




Support audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
Implement and improve accounting processes and systems.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to management.
Train and mentor junior accounting staff.
Handle special projects and ad-hoc financial analysis as required.

Education & Training
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Extensive experience in property accounting and financial reporting.
Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
