Job Summary

The Bancassurance Relationship Manager is responsible for driving life insurance business through bank partnerships by building robust relationships with bank staff, generating leads, and achieving sales targets while ensuring compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

Bank Relationship Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with branch managers and bank staff.

• Act as the single point of contact between the bank and the insurance company.

• Ensure active engagement of bank branches for insurance sales.

Sales & Business Development

• Generate life insurance business through the bank customer base.

• Achieve assigned targets in premium, policy count, and revenue.

• Support bank staff in identifying prospects and closing insurance leads.

Training & Support

• Conduct regular product and process training for bank staff.

• Provide on-ground sales support and joint customer meetings.





• Motivate bank teams to maximize insurance penetration.

Customer Handling

• Assist customers with policy explanation, documentation, and issuance.

• Ensure high-quality customer service and quick resolution of queries.

• Support renewal and persistency of policies.

Compliance & Reporting

• Ensure adherence to IRDAI guidelines and company policies.

• Maintain accurate sales records and MIS reports.

• Ensure proper documentation and audit readiness.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Graduate in any discipline (MBA preferred).

• 1–4 years of experience in bancassurance, banking sales, or life insurance.

• Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.

• Willingness to travel and work with bank branches.
