ï· A Finance & Accounting Assistant Manager plays a key role in supporting the financial & Accounting

management and operations of a company. They typically work closely with the Finance &

Accounting Manager or Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and are responsible for assisting in the

preparation and analysis of financial data, managing budgets, ensuring compliance with financial

regulations, and leading or supporting various finance-related projects.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

1. Financial Reporting & Analysis:

ï· Preparation of financial reports (e.g., profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow

statements).

ï· Analyse financial data to identify trends, variances, and discrepancies.

ï· Prepare financial forecasts and budgets based on the company’s financial goals.

ï· Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end financial reporting.

2. Tax Compliance:

ï· Ensure timely and accurate filing of all required tax returns (income tax, , GST, TDS, corporate

tax, etc.).





ï· Monitor and implement changes in tax regulations and ensure compliance with current laws.

ï· Coordinate with auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies for audits, inspections, and

other inquiries.

ï· Maintain tax records and documentation for easy retrieval during audits.

3. Budget Management:

ï· Support the Finance Manager in preparing annual budgets and monthly budget reviews.

ï· Monitor departmental spending to ensure adherence to approved budgets.

ï· Identify areas for cost reduction and process improvement.

4. Accounts Payable & Receivable:

ï· Oversee the processing of invoices, payments, and reconciliations.

ï· Manage relationships with vendors and customers, resolving any payment issues.

ï· Ensure timely collection of receivables and payment of obligations.

ï· Understanding and complying with the MSME Act

5. Audit & Compliance:

ï· Assist in the preparation for internal and external audits.

ï· Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws
