Clinical Leadership

- Assist in managing day-to-day operations of the NICU/PICU.
- Ensure delivery of high-quality, patient-centered nursing care.
- Monitor adherence to clinical protocols, infection prevention practices, and patient safety standards.
- Support complex clinical decision-making and provide guidance during emergencies.
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and care planning.

Staff Management

- Supervise and mentor nursing staff during assigned shifts.
- Assist in staff scheduling, allocation, and workload management.
- Conduct orientation, competency assessments, and ongoing coaching.
- Participate in performance evaluations and staff development initiatives.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work setting.

Quality & Patient Safety

- Monitor quality indicators, patient outcomes, and nursing-sensitive metrics.
- Participate in quality improvement projects and clinical audits.
- Investigate incidents, medication errors, and adverse events; recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with infection control, medication safety, and risk management policies.

Operational Responsibilities





- Ensure adequate staffing and optimal utilization of resources.
- Monitor availability of equipment, supplies, and emergency medications.
- Coordinate maintenance and readiness of critical care equipment.
- Assist in budget monitoring and inventory management.

Education & Training

- Identify staff learning needs and coordinate educational programs.
- Promote evidence-based nursing practices.
- Facilitate mock codes, emergency drills, and competency-based training.
- Support continuing professional development and certification initiatives.

Communication & Collaboration

- Serve as a liaison between nursing staff, physicians, allied health professionals, and hospital administration.
- Promote effective communication with patients' families regarding care plans.
- Participate in departmental meetings and committees.

Compliance

- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, national nursing regulations, and accreditation standards (e.g., NABH, JCI, or applicable local standards).
- Maintain accurate documentation and confidentiality of patient information.
