Job Summary

We are seeking a creative and results-driven Social Media Executive with 4–6 years of experience in the news and digital media industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, publishing, managing, and optimizing news content across social media platforms while driving audience engagement and increasing digital reach.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and execute daily social media operations across Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), YouTube, LinkedIn, WhatsApp Channels, and Telegram.
- Publish breaking news, trending stories, reels, shorts, and digital content in a timely manner.
- Create engaging captions, headlines, hashtags, and post descriptions to maximize reach and engagement.
- Coordinate with Editorial, Video Production, Graphics, and Digital teams for timely content publishing.
- Monitor trending topics and identify opportunities for real-time content creation.
- Plan and execute social media campaigns to improve audience growth and brand visibility.
- Track platform performance using analytics tools and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
- Monitor audience engagement and respond to comments and messages when required.
- Ensure all published content follows editorial guidelines and brand standards.




- Stay updated with social media algorithms, platform updates, and industry trends.

Required Skills

- Robust knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), YouTube, LinkedIn, WhatsApp Channels, and Telegram.
- Experience with Meta Business Suite and social media management tools.
- Excellent written communication skills in Tamil and English.
- Knowledge of social media analytics and performance reporting.
- Understanding of SEO, digital content optimization, and audience engagement strategies.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced news environment.
- Strong coordination and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Visual Communication, Marketing, or a related field.
- 4–6 years of experience in a News, Digital Media, Television, or Publishing organization.
- Experience handling breaking news and live social media updates is preferred.
