SENIOR MEDICAL WRITER Overall Purpose of the Job The SENIOR Medical Writer is responsible for developing high-quality scientific and medical content for marketing, and clinical purposes. This includes creating submission-ready documents, ensuring compliance with medical, legal, and regulatory standards, and serving as the subject matter expert for scientific writing within the team. Key Responsibilities

Content Development

Create accurate, clear, and compliant medical communications for various channels (e.g., Veeva-approved emails, CLMs, websites, videos).

Draft and review promotional and educational materials for medical affairs.

Review content/creative files developed from master assets and provide feedback based on client requirements.

Regulatory & Compliance

Ensure adherence to Medical Legal Regulatory (MLR) approval processes.

Manage referencing and annotation in Veeva Vault PromoMats.

Perform reference and annotation of the promotional assets of Veeva Vault PromoMats for further processing.

Scientific Expertise

Interpret and document clinical data accurately.

Conduct literature searches and analyze client assets for evidence-based content.

Collaboration

Communicate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders to meet timelines.





Provide intellectual input across multiple therapy areas (oncology, respiratory, cardiology, dermatology, vaccines, infectious diseases, nephrology, rare diseases).

Qualifications

Education: PhD/MD, or M Pharm

Experience

5–10 years in medical writing or related roles in pharma/life sciences.

Prior experience in medical communication.

Skills

Strong understanding of therapy areas and regulatory guidelines.

Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.

Familiarity with Veeva Vault PromoMats and MLR processes (mandatory).

Knowledge of promotional asset development and review (mandatory).

Knowledge of referencing and tagging of claims (mandatory).

JUNIOR MEDICAL WRITER & MID MEDICAL WRITER Role Summary

We are seeking experienced Medical Writers who possess strong skills in tagging and annotation to support critical functions such as reference management, ontology mapping, and MLR/PRC workflows. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring high standards of scientific accuracy and regulatory compliance across various projects.

Key Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive reference tagging and annotation to facilitate accurate referencing and traceability.





Conduct ontology mapping using established medical terminologies including MeSH, MedDRA, and SNOMED CT, ensuring scientific content is appropriately categorized and linked.

Prepare materials for MLR/PRC submission, ensuring all documentation meets submission readiness standards.

Carry out quality control checks and participate in peer reviews to uphold accuracy and consistency in all scientific materials.

Synthesize literature and contribute to scientific writing for a range of medical and promotional documents.

Annotate scientific and promotional materials such as labels (LBLs), slide decks, brochures, emails, and interactive visual aids (IVAs) according to referencing and regulatory submission guidelines.

Ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with referencing styles, including AMA and Vancouver, as well as client-specific MLR requirements.

Work closely with other medical writers and reviewers to resolve queries and maintain high standards of scientific accuracy.

Develop and maintain trackers and databases for referencing to support both global and local projects.

Conduct thorough quality control checks on references and annotations prior to final submission.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Project Management, Medical Review, and Creative to ensure alignment on annotation and referencing processes.

Support initiatives aimed at improving processes for efficiency and compliance in referencing and annotation practices.

Qualifications A degree in life sciences (PharmD, M Pharm, MSc, or PhD) is required.

Experience with Veeva Vault, medical writing, evidence-based content development, and medical governance is essential.

Experience Bands: Junior: 2–4 years of relevant experience
