Roles & Responsibilities Export Marketing Manager (Steel Components Manufacturing)
1. Client Relationship Management
- Build long-term relationships with international clients through regular communication and visits
- Understand client-specific product requirements, quality standards, and delivery expectations
- Act as the main point of contact for all export client queries and issue resolution
- Ensure high customer satisfaction and repeat business.
2. Sales & Order Management
- Send price quotations, and product catalogues to overseas clients
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with buyers
- Process export orders and coordinate internally to confirm feasibility (capacity, material, timeline)
- Follow up on order status and ensure timely dispatch and delivery
3. Export Sales Management
- Achieve export sales and revenue targets.
- Send quotations, negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts.
- Convert inquiries into confirmed purchase orders.
- Manage the complete sales cycle from lead generation to order closure.
4. Pricing & Commercial Negotiations
- Coordinate with costing team for cost sheets and export pricing.
- Negotiate Incoterms (FOB, CIF, CFR, EXW, etc.).
- Evaluate freight costs and shipping options.
- Optimize profitability while remaining competitive.
5. Financial Responsibilities
- Monitor export receivables and payment collections.
- Manage advance payments, and open-account transactions.
6. Export Documentation & Compliance
- Coordinate preparation of export documentation, including:
- Commercial Invoice
- Packing List
- Certificate of Origin
- Bill of Lading/Airway Bill
- Inspection Certificates
- Insurance Documents
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs requirements, and destination-country standards.
- Work closely with freight forwarders and customs agents.

Logistics & Supply Chain Coordination
- Coordinate shipments with freight forwarders and shipping lines.
- Monitor container availability and transportation schedules.
- Optimize shipping costs and delivery timelines.
- Ensure proper export packaging and labelling.
8. Coordination with Internal Departments
- Work with the production team to align order quantities and delivery timelines with manufacturing capacity
- Coordinate with the quality department to ensure products meet international standards (ISO, ASTM, DIN, etc.)
- Liaise with finance for payment tracking, and credit terms
- Provide feedback from overseas clients to R&D;/production for product improvement
9. Order Execution Coordination
- Coordinate with production planning, procurement, quality assurance, and logistics teams.
- Monitor manufacturing schedules to ensure timely delivery.
- Track shipments until delivery to customers.
- Resolve issues related to delays, shortages, or quality concerns.
10. Cross-functional Coordination
- Collaborate with:
- Production

- Design/Engineering
- Ensure smooth execution of export orders from inquiry through delivery.
11. Reporting & Analysis
- Maintain records of export sales, client communication, and order history
- Prepare monthly/quarterly export performance reports for management
- Track export targets vs. actuals and suggest corrective actions

- Prepare:
- Export sales reports
- Monthly and quarterly performance reports
- Sales forecasts
- Pipeline reports
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs).
13. Risk & Relationship Management
- Handle disputes, quality complaints, or shipment issues from overseas clients professionally
- Ensure repeat business through consistent service and reliability
14. Quality & Customer Satisfaction
- Ensure exported products meet customer specifications and international quality standards.
- Coordinate resolution of quality complaints.
- Implement corrective actions based on customer feedback.
