About this Role: We are looking for a sharp Media Monitoring Lead to join our Media Monitoring team for the Goa region. You will stay ahead of the news cycle, track narratives in real time, and keep the campaign team informed with timely, accurate intelligence in support of our client's electoral engagements. This role requires a strong understanding of Goa's political landscape, fluency in Konkani, and excellent research and reporting skills.
This is a contract-based campaign engagement running through February 2027. Selected candidates will initially work remotely and should be ready to relocate to the Panaji office once intimated, with travel across Goa for fieldwork and campaign operations as needed. C.
What Would This Role
Entail - Monitor political news, social trends, public sentiment,
and opposition activity in real time.
- Spot and report key political developments quickly and accurately.
- Track local issues, public concerns, opposition statements, and current developments for content and strategy inputs.
- Monitor platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter, YouTube, WhatsApp groups, and news websites.
- Draft speech pointers, talking points, and media coverage reports.
- Prepare daily and periodic news summaries, monitoring dashboards, and situation updates.
- Coordinate with content, video, design, and social media teams, and campaign managers.
- Flag risks, rapid-response opportunities, and emerging narratives to the team.
- Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and confidentiality in all documentation and reports.
- Support real-time monitoring during rallies, press meets, public events, and election-related activities. D.
Necessary Skills
- Bachelor's degree or higher from a recognised institution.
- Strong understanding of Goa's political ecosystem, current affairs, and local issues.
- Fluency in Konkani (read, write, speak), and the ability to follow local discussions, speeches, news clips, and public feedback in Konkani.
- Excellent research, observation, and analytical skills.
- Solid writing, summarising, and structured reporting skills.
- Good grasp of social platforms, digital trends, and online conversations.
- Proficiency in Google Docs, Sheets, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-pressure environments with timely updates.
- Based in Goa or available to work in Goa, with flexibility during campaign events.
- Knowledge of Konkani, Marathi, English, or Hindi will be preferred. E.
Good to Have Skills
- Prior experience in media monitoring, political campaigns, journalism, PR, social media, or research is preferred.
- Must be based in Goa or available to work in Goa during the contract period.
- Ability to summarise or translate local-language content for campaign use.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Flexible working hours during campaign events, news developments, and election periods.
- Must be reliable, disciplined, and detail-oriented. F.
