Role Overview: The In-Charge Finishing (CRSD) is responsible for managing Finishing operations including CR Slitting, Cut-to-Length (CTL) and Packing by executing the production plan, ensuring product quality, optimum resource utilization and timely completion of customer-specific requirements in a safe and cost-effective manner.

Key Deliverables:

- Execute Finishing operations in line with the approved production plan shared by PPC thereby ensuring achievement of production targets, process continuity and product quality as per required standards.

- Plan and execute CR Slitting, Cut-to-Length (CTL) and Packing operations to meet customer specifications, quality standards and delivery commitments.

- Prioritize CRS/ CTL in line with FIFO principles to prevent material deterioration and ensure smooth material flow across finishing operations.

- Monitor process parameters, machine settings, cutter selection and cutter maintenance to achieve the required width, length, dimensional accuracy and surface quality as per customer specifications.

- Ensure availability and optimum utilization of cutters, consumables, manpower, machines and packing materials (3M) to maximize fishing line efficiency in a cost effective manner.

- Coordinate with the Maintenance team for preventive maintenance, breakdown resolution and equipment readiness to minimize production downtime.

- Monitor process yield (production output), utility consumption, wastage,



rejection/rework trends and implement corrective actions to improve productivity, resource utilization, material recovery and operational efficiency.

- Identify and implement improvement initiatives related to finishing operations, productivity, cutter utilization, packing efficiency, cost reduction and operational excellence.

- Ensure adherence to departmental SOPs, Work Instructions (WI), quality standards, safety requirements, housekeeping and 5S practices across finishing operations.

- Maintain production records, SAP transactions, operational reports and related MIS for performance monitoring and management review.

- Supervise and guide operators and helpers to ensure protected operations, process discipline and achievement of production targets.

Candidate Specification (From Hiring Perspective):

- Diploma/ Graduate in Production Engineering.

- 6-10 years of experience in Finishing Operations, CR Slitting, Cut-to-Length (CTL), Rolling Mill Operations or Manufacturing within steel, metals, process or manufacturing industries.

- Hands-on experience in CR Slitting, Cut To Length (CTL), Packing Operations, Cutter Management, CR Coil Finishing Process Control and Production execution.

- Good understanding of CR Coil finishing processes, dimensional accuracy, quality requirements, safety practices, SAP, MS Excel and production reporting.
