We are currently looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to join our global team and the Head of Finance in managing financial activities across multiple entities, incl.
General
Ledger & Accounting. You will supportfinancial transparency, ensure high-quality reporting, and act as a trusted partner and will be responsible for core accounting operations within SSC/GCC. You will support high-quality financial reporting, compliance with international accounting standards, and robust, scalable processes across multiple entities to enable business leaders in steering performance and decision-making.
To support our continued growth in the Finance & Controlling department, we are seeking a Senior Accountant with extensive professional experience and GERMAN language expertise.
Working closely with the Head of Finance and global stakeholders, you will drive excellence in general ledger management, month-end close, and financial controls, while supporting the ongoing finance transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing day-to-day financial accounting, including payment transactions.
- Preparing and compiling monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB).
- Preparing VAT returns.
- Submitting statistical reports.
- Assisting with day-to-day accounting and the preparation of financial statements for our European subsidiaries.
- Reconciling balance sheet accounts, expense and income accounts, and intercompany accounts.
- Supporting audits conducted by external audit firms.
- Preparing reports for senior management.
Experience Required
- Numbers, data and facts put a smile on your face
- You hold a qualification as a chartered accountant
- Experience with SAP Cloud ERP/S4 is an advantage
- You respond quickly and openly to new situations and challenges, are keen to learn and think outside the box
- Proficiency in using SAP ByDesign would be desirable
- Very valuable command of MS Office products
- Independent and structured approach to work
- Good command of English & German is a prerequisite for working in our international team
