Job Title: Farm Field Manager – Horticulture

Location: Pune – Ahilyabainagar (Ahmednagar) region, Maharashtra

Job Summary

Hands-on Farm Field Manager required to manage commercial horticulture operations in the Pune–Ahilyabainagar belt. Strong practical knowledge of local crops (grapes, pomegranate, citrus, mango, vegetables & flowers) is essential.

Key Responsibilities

1. Plan and execute day-to-day field operations for grapes, pomegranate, citrus, mango and seasonal vegetables/flowers.
2. Manage irrigation (drip/fertigation), canopy management, pruning, nutrient application and IPM suited to the region’s semi-arid climate.
3. Monitor crop health, diagnose common pests/diseases and ensure timely interventions.
4. Supervise harvesting, grading and post-harvest handling to maintain quality.
5.



Lead field staff/labour, maintain records and control costs.
6. Ensure Good Agricultural Practices and efficient resource use.

Requirements

1. Degree in Horticulture/Agriculture preferred.
2. 3+ years’ hands-on experience in commercial horticulture farms in Maharashtra (preferably Pune–Ahmednagar belt).
3. Solid knowledge of regional crop packages of practices, drip systems and high-density planting.
4. Solid field leadership, problem-solving and record-keeping skills.
5. Willingness to work full-time on-farm.
