As we continue to expand our operations and market footprint, we are looking for a sharp, detail-oriented, and reliable Billing and Cashier Accountant to manage financial transactions, uphold cash management controls, and deliver a seamless checkout experience for our valued retail and wholesale clientele.
Position Summary
The Billing and Cashier Accountant will be the frontline financial anchor at our showroom. This role requires high accuracy in generating high-volume invoices, managing point-of-sale (POS) operations, handling cash and digital receipts, and reconciling daily accounts. The ideal candidate blends stellar numerical aptitude with customer-friendly professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Invoicing & Billing: Generate accurate retail and wholesale tax invoices, estimates, and delivery challans in alignment with company policies and GST regulations.
- Cash & Treasury Management: Manage the daily cash drawer, process cash, card, UPI, and bank transfer payments, and ensure zero variance during cash-ups.
- Daily Reconciliation: Reconcile cash, credit card, and digital payment collections against POS terminal summaries and ERP/accounting system reports at the end of every business day.
- Ledger Maintenance & Auditing: Maintain day-to-day accounts receivable and payable records,
track customer advance payments, and follow up on pending clearances.
- Customer Service Excellence: Deliver polite, swift, and professional checkout service to walk-in retail customers, interior designers, and contractor clients.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare daily collection statements, cash flow logs, and periodic financial summaries for review by the finance manager/management.
Education & Qualifications
- Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) or Finance/Accounting (M.Com / BBA in Finance is an added advantage).
- Certifications: Proficiency in computerized accounting systems and hands-on training in GST filing and taxation.
Skills & Competencies
- Technical Skills: Strong command of ERP software, and advanced Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
- Numerical Rigor: Exceptional speed and accuracy in data entry, cash handling, and mental arithmetic.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Solid understanding of Indian GST laws, e-invoicing protocols, and local tax compliance.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient, customer-first approach.
- Integrity & Reliability: High level of professional ethics, honesty, and accountability in handling daily cash flow.
Work Experience
- Experience Level: 1 to 2 years of proven experience as a Cashier, Billing Executive, or Accounts Assistant, preferably within retail, wholesale, or showroom environments (building materials, hardware, or similar retail sectors preferred). Freshers with exceptional skill will also be considered.
