Senior Accountant – Real Estate

About the Role

Jain Constructions is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our growing finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring statutory compliance, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the financial health of multiple real estate projects.

This role requires strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of real estate accounting, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
- Record and maintain all financial transactions accurately in the accounting system.
- Prepare journal entries, ledger postings, and general ledger reconciliations.
- Reconcile bank accounts, vendor accounts, customer accounts, and project-wise ledgers.
- Process vendor payments and customer receipts while ensuring proper documentation and approvals.
- Monitor receivables, follow up on outstanding payments, and maintain healthy cash flow.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and MIS reports.
- Assist in monthly and year-end closing activities.
- Maintain project-wise cost records and monitor construction-related expenditures.
- Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with auditors, consultants, banks, and government authorities during audits and assessments.
- Support budgeting, cash flow planning, and financial forecasting.
- Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.




- Ensure all accounting records are maintained accurately and confidentially.
- Assist management with financial analysis and other accounting responsibilities as required.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or a related field.
- 4–5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2–3 years in the real estate or construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards, GST, TDS, Income Tax, and statutory compliance.
- Experience in project accounting and real estate financial processes.
- Proficiency in Tally ERP/Tally Prime, Microsoft Excel, and MS Office.
- Working knowledge of ERP software is an added advantage.
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Robust attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills

- Experience in real estate project accounting and construction cost accounting.
- Knowledge of RERA-related financial processes will be an advantage.
- Ability to prepare MIS reports for management.
- Strong understanding of vendor management, customer collections, and cash flow management.
- Team-oriented with a proactive and professional approach.
