Role Description This is an on-site internship role for Calling Student Reporters & Editorial Interns, based in Bengaluru. Interns will contribute to KiddoFin’s educational mission by researching and reporting on youth-focused financial topics, school events, and student initiatives related to money management and entrepreneurship.
Day-to-day tasks include news writing, drafting articles and features, assisting with editorial planning, and supporting the creation of multimedia content such as short videos, visuals, or social media stories that make finance engaging for young audiences. Interns will collaborate with mentors and the editorial team to verify information, refine story angles,
and ensure content aligns with KiddoFin’s tone and learning objectives. The role offers hands-on newsroom-style experience, exposure to financial literacy concepts, and opportunities to publish work across KiddoFin platforms.
Qualifications
- Ability to conduct Reporting and gather information from diverse sources such as students, educators, events, and digital platforms.
- Strong Communication skills, including clear interviewing, collaboration with editors, and presenting stories in an accessible manner.
- Solid Writing and News Writing skills, with the ability to craft concise, accurate, and engaging content for young audiences.
- Basic Multimedia skills, such as creating or supporting video, audio, or visual content to complement written stories.
- Interest in financial literacy, youth issues, and education; curiosity to learn and explain financial concepts in simple terms.
- Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to fact-check, follow editorial guidelines, and meet deadlines.
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed studies in Journalism, Mass Communication, English, Media, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Comfort working in an on-site, collaborative setting in Bengaluru and willingness to participate in events, workshops, or field activities.
