Title: Associate Vice President (AVP.) Product Management (Refinery, Mining Chemicals, Petrochemicals, Process Chemicals’ Solutions)

Location: 1st Preference Vashi/ Rabale or Hyderabad Factory.

Business: Specialty Process Chemicals | Water & Wastewater Solutions Role Purpose The Associate Vice President – Product Management will provide strategic and technical leadership for the Process Chemicals Solutions portfolio, with a robust focus on Refinery specialty process chemicals and additional focus on Upstream Oil & Gas and Petrochemical industry process chemicals, mining chemicals.

This role is accountable for platform mastery of selected core chemistries, deep understanding of customer process economics, and translating chemical applications into measurable customer value. The position plays a critical role in scaling the process business beyond USD 3 million per annum, including building a lean, high-impact technical support organization.

Key Accountabilities

Product & Technology Leadership

- Own and drive the product strategy, positioning, and lifecycle management for specialty process treatment solutions first in refinery down- stream process chemicals and later years in the upstream Oil field business.
- Establish deep application mastery over selected core chemistry platforms, such as:

- Functional and performance chemicals
- Desalting, fouling, and corrosion control technologies
- Separation, and process optimization chemistries
- Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for these platforms across markets and applications.

Customer Value Creation

- Partner with customers to understand core manufacturing processes, constraints, and KPIs in Oil refineries, Mining Applications, Paper & Textile Process.
- Identify, quantify,



and deliver value propositions related to:

- Throughput improvement

- Water and energy reduction

- Asset protection and reliability
- Environmental compliance and sustainability
- Translate technical outcomes into economic and operational value metrics for customers.

Application & Technical Leadership

- Lead complex application development, trials, and troubleshooting for strategic customers.
- Provide senior-level techno-commercial support to regional sales and business development teams.
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor to customers, EPCs, consultants, and strategic partners.
- Ensure consistent best-in-class application practices across regions and industries.

Business Enablement & Growth

- Support commercial teams in solution selling, pricing strategy, and value-based proposals.
- Enable scale-up of successful applications across multiple sites and customers.
- Contribute to annual operating plans, growth strategies, and portfolio expansion initiatives.
- Support business growth milestones, including scaling beyond USD 3M+ annual revenue by 2030.

Team Building & Capability Development

- Build, lead, and mentor 2-3 technical/process support resources & application engineering experts as the business scales, beyond US$ 2-3 million.
- Define competency models, training paths, and performance expectations.




- Foster a culture of application excellence, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure effective knowledge transfer and technical standardization.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Collaborate closely with:
- R&D; and formulation teams on innovation and customization
- Manufacturing and supply chain on product scalability and quality
- Marketing on value messaging and technical content
- Regulatory and EH&S; teams to ensure compliance
- Identify gaps in the portfolio and drive new product development or technology partnerships and new product / application ideas for R&D; to develop.

Qualifications

- B. Tech / BE in Chemical Engineering
- With one of the industry experience ( Mining / Refinery or Paper / Textile)

Experience

- 16–20+ years of experience in:

- Specialty process chemicals
- Industrial water and wastewater treatment
- Application engineering, product management, or technical leadership roles
- Demonstrated success in value-based solution delivery and customer-centric innovation.
- Experience supporting businesses with revenues of USD 3 million+ or equivalent scale.
