Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Development & New Product Introduction Manager to lead the product-readiness and commercialization process for our haircare and facial skincare products for our Snowberry.kr division.

The Senior Product Development & NPI Manager is accountable for ensuring that every project follows the appropriate development path and that all required approvals are complete before mass-production materials are purchased or manufacturing begins.

This position owns the product-readiness process while individual technical approvals remain with the appropriate functional specialists.

Position Purpose

Lead the controlled transition of products from approved concept through product readiness, supplier release, manufacturing release, and post-launch review.

The position serves as the central owner of:

- NPI workflow
- Product-readiness gates
- Project schedules
- Approval status
- Technical document coordination
- Change control
- Risk escalation
- Cross-functional accountability

The NPI Manager does not replace the technical authority of Artwork, Regulatory, Product Safety, Purchasing, Manufacturing QA, or Finance. The NPI Manager ensures that each function completes and documents its responsibilities before a project proceeds.

Core Responsibilities

Product Readiness and NPI Ownership

Own the complete product-readiness process from approved concept intake through production release and post-launch review.

Responsibilities include:

- Open and maintain a controlled NPI project for every approved concept.
- Confirm key project requirements, including customer, SKU, quantity assumptions, target price, launch timing, and intended market.
- Create and maintain the master project schedule.
- Assign owners, deadlines, dependencies, and approval gates.
- Identify and manage the project’s critical path.
- Track outstanding approvals, risks, decisions, and changes.
- Lead cross-functional product-readiness reviews.
- Confirm that artwork, formulas, packaging, bills of materials, claims, and specifications refer to the same approved product revision.
- Prevent incomplete or conflicting information from reaching Purchasing or Manufacturing.
- Escalate overdue decisions that may affect production or customer delivery.
- Maintain complete and accurate product-readiness records.
- Conduct post-launch reviews and document lessons learned.

Trello Workflow Management

Own and maintain the company’s product-development and product-readiness workflow within Trello.

Responsibilities include:

- Create and maintain product-development boards.
- Establish standardized workflow stages.

- Create project cards, checklists, owners, deadlines, and dependencies.
- Maintain separate approval records for each SKU and revision.
- Track customer decisions and required customer approvals.
- Track artwork, regulatory, formula, packaging, costing, supplier, and manufacturing milestones.
- Maintain current product files and controlled documentation.
- Ensure obsolete files are removed from active workflows or clearly identified as obsolete.
- Prevent multiple uncontrolled versions of the same file.
- Maintain issue, risk, change, and decision logs.
- Escalate overdue tasks and unresolved issues.
- Ensure Trello accurately reflects the current status of every product.

Trello status must be supported by documented approvals. Tasks may not be marked complete based solely on verbal confirmation.

Cross-Functional Accountability

The NPI Manager will work across Product Development, Sales, Design, Chemistry, Regulatory, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Finance.

The successful candidate must:

- Drive deadlines and project completion.
- Challenge incomplete or inconsistent information.
- Identify conflicting instructions and requirements.
- Establish and document explicit ownership.
- Escalate unresolved risks.
- Hold teams accountable for agreed deliverables.
- Prevent approval gates from being bypassed.
- Provide leadership with an accurate view of project status.
- Influence senior colleagues and technical specialists without taking over their approval authority.

Primary systems include:

- Trello: Product-development workflow, approvals, task management, risk tracking, change control, and document coordination
- OrderTime: Product status, operational handoff, order coordination, and manufacturing-readiness visibility
- Microsoft Excel: Timelines, trackers, analysis, reporting, and launch metrics
- Shared document systems: Controlled product specifications, artwork, approvals, and supporting documentation

Daily Responsibilities

- Review Trello boards and critical-path activities.
- Follow up on overdue approvals and customer decisions.
- Review changes to artwork, formulas, claims, packaging, samples, specifications, and production requirements.

- Verify that completed tasks are supported by appropriate documentation.
- Coordinate with Design, Chemistry, Regulatory, Purchasing, Finance, and manufacturing teams.
- Review newly received customer orders for product readiness.
- Identify issues that may affect purchasing, manufacturing, or delivery.
- Escalate risks before they create delays or additional costs.
- Update issue, risk, change, and decision logs.

Qualifications

- Seven or more years of experience in product development, NPI, packaging development, commercialization, or product-launch management
- Experience in beauty, skincare, haircare, cosmetics, personal care, or a related CPG category
- Experience working with overseas suppliers and contract manufacturers strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of packaging, artwork, regulatory coordination, formula development, manufacturing, and supplier lead times
- Experience with structured stage-gate, PLM, or change-control processes
- Experience using Trello, Asana, Monday.com, Jira, or a similar workflow-management platform
- Strong Microsoft Excel and project-reporting skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through
- Strong written documentation and cross-functional communication skills
- Ability to identify technical and operational risks without exceeding specialist authority

The successful candidate is:

- A senior operator and cross-functional leader, not solely an administrator
- Highly disciplined and detail-oriented
- Persistent and comfortable holding colleagues accountable
- Able to distinguish documented approval from an informal verbal update
- Strong in packaging, artwork, commercialization, and manufacturing coordination
- Comfortable challenging unrealistic deadlines or incomplete information
- Able to manage multiple customer projects with competing priorities
- Skilled at identifying small discrepancies before they become expensive production problems
- Commercially aware while remaining committed to product readiness and process control
- Passionate about beauty products, packaging, and successful retail launches

Success will be demonstrated through:

- Complete and properly documented production releases
- Improved visibility into project status, ownership, and deadlines
- Fewer artwork, specification, and version-control errors
- Fewer production delays caused by missing or conflicting information
- Stronger cross-functional accountability
- Earlier identification and escalation of project risks
- More consistent and successful product launches

Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹900,000.00 per year
