Position: SP P&ID; Engineer (SmartPlant P&ID; Designer)
Location: Pune
Experience: 5–8 Years

Job Title: SP P&ID; Engineer (SmartPlant P&ID; Designer)

Role Overview

The SP P&ID; Engineer is responsible for creating, modifying, and maintaining Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs;) using SmartPlant P&ID; (SPPID) software. These diagrams are critical for engineering design, process understanding, and plant operation.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and update P&IDs; using SmartPlant P&ID; software
- Interpret process flow diagrams (PFDs) and convert them into detailed P&IDs;
- Ensure compliance with project standards, industry codes, and client specifications
- Tag and manage equipment, pipelines, valves, and instruments in the database
- Maintain data consistency between P&ID; and other engineering systems
- Collaborate with process, mechanical,



and instrumentation engineers
- Perform quality checks and ensure accuracy of drawings
- Handle revisions, markups, and document control updates

Required Skills

- Solid knowledge of P&ID; symbols and standards (ISA, ISO, ANSI)
- Hands-on experience with SmartPlant P&ID; (SPPID)
- Understanding of process engineering concepts
- Familiarity with oil & gas / chemical / power plant projects
- Good knowledge of instrumentation and control systems
- Ability to read and interpret engineering documents

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in:
- Chemical Engineering
- Or Diploma with relevant experience
