Job Summary:

The Finance Controller for a Housing Finance Company will be a pivotal leader responsible for overseeing all financial operations, including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury management, and regulatory compliance. This role requires a strategic thinker with a robust understanding of the housing finance sector, IFRS/GAAP, and robust internal control frameworks. The successful candidate will ensure the integrity of financial data, provide insightful analysis to support business decisions, and manage a high-performing finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee all aspects of accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP).
- Manage the preparation and timely submission of all internal and external financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, regulatory filings, and management reports.
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust internal controls and financial procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.




- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with various departments to establish financial targets and monitor performance against budgets.
- Manage treasury functions, including cash flow management, liquidity planning, and investment strategies to optimize financial resources.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, tax laws, and reporting requirements specific to the housing finance industry.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to senior management to support strategic planning, business development, and operational efficiency initiatives.
- Coordinate and manage external audits, ensuring all necessary documentation and information are readily available.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
- Evaluate and implement financial systems and technologies to enhance efficiency and accuracy of financial processes.
- Participate in due diligence for potential mergers, acquisitions, or new product launches, providing financial expertise.
