About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and dedicated RO Plant / Water Purification Technician (WPT) to join our team at Sonarpur, Kolkata. The selected candidate will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting Reverse Osmosis (RO) water purification systems to ensure uninterrupted supply of purified water as per quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

✦ Operate and monitor RO plant, water softeners, filtration systems, and related equipment on a daily basis.

✦ Perform routine preventive maintenance and servicing of RO membranes, pumps, filters, and control systems.

✦ Monitor water quality parameters (TDS, pH, turbidity, chlorine levels) and maintain records.

✦ Identify and troubleshoot technical faults in the RO system and carry out timely repairs.

✦ Replace filters, membranes, and spare parts as required to maintain optimal plant performance.

✦ Maintain proper chemical dosing as per treatment protocol.

✦ Ensure plant operations comply with safety norms, hygiene standards, and regulatory guidelines.

✦ Maintain daily operation logs, production records, and maintenance checklists.

✦ Coordinate with supervisors and engineers for any major breakdowns or technical upgrades.

✦ Manage inventory of consumables, chemicals, and spare parts; report low stock levels.





✦ Ensure cleanliness and housekeeping of the plant area at all times.

Required Skills & Knowledge

✦ Hands-on experience with RO systems, water treatment plants, or water purification units.

✦ Knowledge of water treatment processes: pre-filtration, softening, RO, UV, and post-treatment.

✦ Ability to read and interpret flow diagrams, P&ID; diagrams, and technical manuals.

✦ Proficiency in handling water testing instruments and quality testing kits.

✦ Basic electrical knowledge for panel operation and minor electrical troubleshooting.

✦ Problem-solving ability and quick response to plant breakdowns or emergencies.

✦ Physical fitness to handle operational tasks including lifting, climbing, and extended shifts.

✦ Good communication skills (Bengali / Hindi).

Qualifications

Minimum Education

Class 12 Pass (10+2) from a recognized board

Preferred Education

B.Sc. / Graduation / ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering

Certifications

Any certificate in RO / Water Treatment preferred (not mandatory)

Computer Skills

Basic knowledge of MS Excel / Word for maintaining records (preferred)
