Design and develop piping system layouts using AutoCAD Plant 3D.
Prepare detailed 3D models, isometric drawings, and 2D drawings for construction and installation.
Review project requirements, specifications, and design documents to ensure the proper design and layout of piping systems.
Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure the piping design meets project objectives.
Perform clash detection and resolve conflicts within the 3D models using Plant 3D.
Generate BOM (Bill of Materials) and maintain accurate records of materials and quantities.
Apply knowledge of piping codes and standards such as ASME, ANSI, and API for design validation.
Ensure the design complies with relevant health, safety, and environmental guidelines.
Assist in the preparation of project schedules and progress reports.
Conduct regular reviews and updates of designs based on project changes or feedback.
Provide support to the fabrication and construction teams during installation.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Proficiency in
AutoCAD Plant 3D
and related tools.
Solid understanding of
piping design principles
, codes, and standards.




Experience in
3D modeling
, piping layouts, and creating isometric drawings.
Proficient in
P&ID; (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams)
interpretation and design.
Knowledge of
clash detection
and collision management within Plant 3D.
Ability to create detailed
BOMs
, piping specifications, and design documents.
Strong understanding of
piping materials
and equipment (valves, flanges, fittings, etc.).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Requirements
Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Piping Design, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience with other design software (e.g., Revit, Navisworks) is a plus.
Familiarity with other industry software such as
Bentley AutoPlant
or
AVEVA
is a bonus.
Certification in
Piping Design
or related disciplines is desirable.
