Job Description:

The SAP Business Partner (BP) Conversion role is responsible for migrating and integrating customer, vendor, and other master data into the Business Partner model in SAP S/4HANA. This is crucial because, in S/4HANA, customers and vendors must be managed as Business Partners (BP), replacing the traditional Customer Master (KNA1) and Vendor Master (LFA1) tables used in SAP ECC.

Key Responsibilities of SAP BP Conversion Role:

1. Assessment & Planning:

- Analyze legacy customer/vendor master data structures in SAP ECC.
- Identify inconsistencies and data cleansing needs before migration.
- Plan the conversion strategy for BP roles (e.g., Customer, Supplier, Employee).

2. Data Mapping & Transformation:

- Map legacy data fields (KNA1, LFA1) to Business Partner structures.
- Define BP roles, relationships, and partner functions.
- Ensure correct linkage between BP, Customer, and Vendor accounts.

3. SAP S/4HANA BP Conversion Execution:





- Use SAP-provided CVI (Customer-Vendor Integration) Cockpit for conversion.
- Execute and validate BP synchronization in CVI Synchronization Reports (e.g., MDS_LOAD_COCKPIT).
- Test BP conversion and resolve errors related to duplicate records, missing fields, or role mismatches.

4. Testing & Validation:

- Perform unit testing, integration testing, and UAT.
- Validate BP transactions in FI, SD, MM, and other modules.
- Ensure seamless integration of BP with business processes.

5. Go-Live & Post-Conversion Support:

- Execute the cutover plan and ensure successful BP conversion.
- Provide hypercare support to resolve any post-migration issues.
- Train business users on BP functionalities in S/4HANA.

- MDS_LOAD_COCKPIT (BP Synchronization Report)
- BP Transaction (to manage Business Partners)
- LTMC (Legacy Transfer Migration Cockpit) for data migration
