Role Overview

The SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud Security Consultant is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure Identity and Access Management (IAM) frameworks in a cloud-native environment.

This role focuses on configuring SAP Fiori security artifacts, managing user lifecycles through SAP Cloud Identity Services, and ensuring compliance with organizational security policies, including Segregation of Duties (SoD) and Clean Core principles.

Key Responsibilities

Identity & Access Management (IAM)

- Configure and manage users using the Maintain Business Users app
- Assign access using standard and custom Business Catalogs and Roles
- Design intuitive Spaces and Pages in SAP Fiori for optimal user experience

Cloud Security Integration

- Set up and manage:
- Communication Arrangements
- Communication Systems
- Communication Users
- Enable secure API-based system-to-system integrations

Identity Services

- Implement and support SAP Cloud Identity Services
- Identity Authentication Service (IAS)
- Identity Provisioning Service (IPS)
- Manage user provisioning and lifecycle integration between systems

Organizational Restrictions

- Define and maintain access restrictions such as:
- Company Code
- Plant
- Purchasing Organization
- Ensure adherence to the Principle of Least Privilege and data segregation

Clean Core Compliance

- Follow SAP Clean Core guidelines
- Avoid use of legacy tools (e.g., PFCG,



SU01)
- Utilize standard SAP IAM apps and best practices

Testing & Transport Lifecycle

- Manage Software Collections for role transport (Export/Import)
- Troubleshoot authorization issues using:
- Fiori apps
- IAM Information System tools

Audit & Compliance

- Perform Segregation of Duties (SoD) analysis
- Support compliance initiatives and internal/external audits
- Prepare and present security audit reports

Required Qualifications & Skills

Experience

- 4–8+ years of SAP Security experience
- Hands-on implementation experience in SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud environments

Technical Expertise

- Solid knowledge of:
- SAP Fiori Security
- SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)
- Cloud Identity & Access Governance (IAG)

Methodologies & Tools

- Familiarity with:
- SAP Activate methodology
- SAP Cloud ALM

Education

- Bachelor’s degree in:
- Computer Science
- Information Technology
- MCA or equivalent

Soft Skills

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to translate business requirements into secure IAM solutions
- Experience working with global cross-functional teams
