Roles & Responsibility

 Identify, evaluate, and onboard sustainable raw material and garment vendors (fabrics, trims, packaging, etc.).  Develop and manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost efficiency, compliance, and delivery timelines.  Source eco-friendly materials aligned with brand aesthetics and sustainability goals (organic cotton, hemp, recycled polyester, etc.).  Negotiate terms, pricing, and MOQs with suppliers.  Collaborate with design and product development teams to source innovation-driven materials and resolve development bottlenecks.  Maintain updated records of vendors, certifications (GOTS, OEKO-TEX, Fair Trade, etc.), and sourcing documentation.



 Monitor market trends and emerging technologies in sustainable materials and ethical sourcing.  Coordinate sample approvals, lab dips, and testing as per brand requirements.  Ensure compliance with The Green Way’s sustainability and ethical sourcing standards.

Requirements

Experience in sourcing for fashion/apparel brands (sustainable sourcing is a plus).  Strong vendor network in India (and preferably Southeast Asia).  Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.  Familiarity with certifications like GOTS, BCI, OEKO-TEX, Fair Trade.  Knowledge of textiles, raw materials, and eco-friendly packaging solutions.  Passionate about sustainable fashion and innovation.
