We are hiring an AR Team Lead/Senior Team Lead for our Chennai location

Experience Required: 6 to 9 yrs

Location: Chennai (Guindy)

Mandate EHR Software: EPIC, ECW, Isalus

Team Leader Roles & Responsibilities

Responsible for leading a team of AR executives to achieve collection, productivity, and quality goals within the US Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) process. The role involves monitoring team performance, coaching employees, resolving escalations, ensuring compliance with client and organizational standards, and driving continuous process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of AR Executives to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly operational targets.
- Monitor team productivity, quality, aging, collections, and denial resolution metrics.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching sessions, and feedback meetings to improve team performance.
- Allocate work effectively and ensure adherence to turnaround time (TAT) and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Review complex denials, escalations, and high-value accounts, providing guidance on appropriate resolution strategies.
- Ensure timely follow-up on unpaid claims, appeals, underpayments, and reimbursement issues.
- Analyze operational reports and identify trends impacting collections and revenue.
- Collaborate with Quality, Training, Operations, and Client teams to implement process improvements.
- Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports to management.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, payer guidelines, client requirements, and organizational policies.
- Support client audits, internal audits, and process documentation.




- Drive employee engagement, attendance, and retention initiatives.
- Identify training needs and facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions within the team.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
- 6–9 years of experience in US Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management, with at least 1–2 years of experience in a Team Leader or supervisory role within Accounts Receivable.
- Strong understanding of the end-to-end AR process, including claim follow-up, denials management, appeals, underpayments, and collections.
- Experience working with commercial, government, and managed care insurance payers.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, reporting, and operational dashboards.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Willingness to work in night shifts aligned with US business hours.

- Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
- Experience in workforce planning and resource allocation.
- Knowledge of medical billing systems and RCM applications.
- Ability to manage escalations and deliver client-focused solutions.
- Excellent coaching, mentoring, and people management skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Experience in Lean, Six Sigma, or process improvement methodologies is an added advantage.
