Job Overview

Greenwood High School is looking for an enthusiastic and versatile Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT) to teach English and Social Science to our middle school sections (Grades 4 to 8). The ideal educator should possess excellent communication skills to build foundational language proficiency while making history, geography, and civics engaging and relevant for young minds.

Key Responsibilities

- Subject Teaching: Plan and execute well-structured lessons for English (Grammar, Literature, Composition) and Social Science (History, Civics, Geography) following the NCERT / CBSE framework for middle school.
- Language & Communication Development: Focus heavily on improving students' reading, writing, listening, and speaking (LSRW) skills through interactive classroom activities.
- Experiential Social Science Projects: Organize interactive projects like mock parliaments, historical role-plays, mapping exercises, and model making to simplify complex social concepts.
- Continuous Evaluation: Conduct regular formative and summative assessments, evaluate notebooks, and track student progress according to CBSE grading standards.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a warm, encouraging, and disciplined classroom environment that accommodates diverse learning paces.

Required Qualifications & Experience

- Education:



Bachelor’s Degree in Arts (B.A.) in English, History, Geography, or Political Science from a recognized university. A Master's degree (M.A.) is a distinct advantage.
- Teaching Degree: A mandatory Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree with teaching methodologies matching the core subjects.
- Eligibility Exams: CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test) or TSTET qualification is highly preferred.
- Experience: 2 to 4 years of teaching middle school (Grades 6–8) in a registered CBSE school. Exceptional freshers with solid communication skills and good academic backgrounds may apply.
- Language Fluency: Impeccable command over spoken and written English is mandatory.

Core Competencies

- Deep familiarity with the middle school NCERT curriculum.
- Ability to balance creative storytelling in English with conceptual mapping in Social Science.
- Strong interpersonal skills to guide students through early adolescence.
- Comfortable using digital aids, presentations, and educational software.
