Job Description – Production (Senior Manager / General Manager)

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage the complete production operations of the Phenolic Resin manufacturing plant.
- Ensure smooth execution of batch processes while maintaining production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements.
- Plan, organize, and monitor daily production schedules for optimum plant utilization.
- Ensure adherence to SOPs, GMP, ISO standards, and statutory compliance.
- Optimize production processes to improve productivity, yield, and cost efficiency.
- Coordinate with Quality Control, Maintenance, Stores, Planning, and Dispatch departments for seamless operations.
- Monitor raw material consumption, process parameters, and production losses to improve operational efficiency.
- Lead troubleshooting activities during process deviations and plant breakdowns.




- Drive continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and TPM.
- Ensure compliance with EHS policies, pollution control norms, and process safety standards.
- Prepare and review production reports, MIS, KPIs, and plant performance data.
- Manage manpower planning, shift operations, training, and team development.
- Support current product trials, process validation, and scale-up activities.
- Ensure timely preventive maintenance coordination to minimize production downtime.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of Phenolic Resin manufacturing processes.
- Expertise in batch process operations and chemical plant management.
- Knowledge of reactors, distillation systems, heat exchangers, and utility operations.
- Experience in process optimization, production planning, and capacity enhancement.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Hands-on experience with ERP/MIS systems and production documentation.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional coordination skills.
