About the role

On behalf of our client, a leading Fortune listed retail & e commerce giant, we are hiring a PIM Business Analyst to act as the bridge between merchandising, supply chain, and engineering teams. This role owns the definition, governance, and enrichment of core product data across the retail ecosystem, translating product taxonomy, data attribute modeling, supplier onboarding, and DAM requirements into clear technical requirements for engineering squads, ensuring accurate publishing across all customer facing channels.

Key responsibilities

- Define and maintain product categories, family hierarchies, attribute sets, and localization rules for multi channel publishing (e commerce, app, POS, print).
- Establish data quality rules and workflow automation for product master data (ingredients, nutritionals, compliance, dimensions, GTINs).
- Map data flows between Supplier Portals, ERP (e.g. SAP), DAM, PIM engines,



and downstream e commerce platforms.
- Author, refine, and prioritize user stories and epics for PIM enhancements and catalog operations; write clear, testable acceptance criteria (Given/When/Then).
- Analyze data feeds, JSON/XML payloads, and API contracts into and out of the PIM platform.
- Partner with Solution Architects and Engineers on feasibility and design of data models.
- Create process maps, data dictionaries, and business rules documentation.
- Participate in sprint planning, refinement, stand ups, and showcases; support UAT and change enablement.

Candidate requirements

- 7+ years of experience with enterprise PIM/MDM platforms (Akeneo, Informatica, Salsify, Riversand, or SAP Commerce/Hybris PIM).
- Solid grasp of product taxonomy and digital asset workflows.
- Hands on with source to target data mapping, REST/GraphQL APIs, JSON/XML, SQL for data verification.
- Experience with Agile analysis: user story writing, backlog prioritization, Gherkin/BDD, Jira & Confluence.
- Strong stakeholder management and cross functional facilitation skills.
