About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Fire & Safety Professional to lead fire prevention, emergency preparedness, and workplace safety initiatives at our facility. The ideal candidate will ensure full compliance with statutory fire and safety regulations while fostering a robust safety culture across all levels of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor fire safety systems, protocols, and emergency response plans across the facility.
- Conduct regular fire risk assessments, hazard identification, and safety audits; recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure fire-fighting equipment (extinguishers, hydrants, sprinklers, alarms, detection systems) is inspected, tested, and maintained as per statutory norms.
- Plan and conduct mock drills, fire evacuation exercises, and emergency response training for employees.
- Investigate fire incidents/near-misses, prepare root cause analysis reports, and implement corrective measures.
- Ensure compliance with National Building Code (NBC), Factories Act, OISD, NFPA standards, and local fire department regulations.
- Liaise with local fire departments, statutory bodies, and regulatory authorities for approvals, licenses, and NOCs.
- Maintain documentation, checklists,
and MIS reports related to fire safety compliance and incident tracking.
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness programs for employees and contractors.
- Support the implementation of Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems for hot work, confined space entry, and other high-risk activities.
- Monitor housekeeping, storage practices, and electrical safety to minimize fire hazards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma/Degree in Fire & Safety Engineering, Industrial Safety, or related field (NEBOSH/IOSH certification preferred).
- Sound knowledge of fire safety codes NBC, NFPA, OISD, Factories Act, and local fire safety regulations.
- Hands-on experience with fire detection & suppression systems (sprinklers, hydrants, foam systems, fire alarms).
- Strong analytical skills for risk assessment, incident investigation, and root cause analysis.
- Excellent communication and training/facilitation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and safety reporting tools.
- Prior experience in manufacturing, power plants, or high-risk industrial environments preferred.

- NEBOSH IGC / NEBOSH Fire Safety
- Fire & Safety Diploma (from a recognized institute)
- First Aid / CPR certificatio
