Job Description: A Store Incharge at a steel pipes manufacturing company manages the end-to-end flow of raw materials (steel coils/plates), consumables, spare parts, and finished products. Responsibilities include inventory control, material inward/outward processing, stock reconciliation via ERP/SAP, and ensuring plant safety and 5S compliance. [1, 2, 3] Core Responsibilities

- Inventory & Stock Management: Track inventory levels, prevent shortages, and conduct regular physical stock-taking and reconciliation.
- Material Inward & Outward: Inspect incoming steel coils, fittings, and chemicals for quality and quantity against Purchase Orders (PO). Generate Goods Receipt Notes (GRN).
- Material Issuance: Issue raw materials and spare parts to the production floor based on authorized indents or requisition slips.
- Scrap Disposal: Manage the segregation, storage, and auctioning of metal/non-metal scraps, hazardous waste, and machining swarf.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of gate entries, delivery challans, and Material Received Registers (MRR) using systems like SAP or Tally. Prepare monthly MIS reports for consumption.




- Safety & Compliance: Enforce 5S standards, keep store premises clean, and ensure protected handling of hazardous waste. Supervise heavy equipment operators (cranes, forklifts) to maintain strict safety protocols.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with Procurement, Production, Quality Control (QC), and Finance teams to ensure smooth supply chain operations and financial audits. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

Key Requirements

- Industry Experience: 3 to 7+ years in a steel, pipe manufacturing, fabrication, or heavy rolling mill sector.
- Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with ERP/SAP systems and MS Office (Excel). Good knowledge of steel grades, pipe dimensions, and industrial consumables.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical skills for stock reconciliation, vendor negotiation abilities, and strict attention to detail. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7]
